Frances Ellmo, NCC, tLPC-MHSP, is currently a doctoral student in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at the University of Memphis.
She received her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis in May 2017 and her Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia in May 2014.
Her research interests include offenders/incarcerates with mental illness, trauma-informed interventions, and neuroscience-informed interventions. She has clinical experience conducting group and individual therapy with court-mandated clients, offenders, victims, and at-risk adolescents. Additionally, she has been practicing Neurofeedback for over 1.5 years and Animal-Assisted Therapy for 3 years. She is a leader of the Kappa Zeta chapter of Chi Sigma Iota and an active member of many other counseling organizations.
